Price Distribution System (PDS)
The MDS Price Distribution System (PDS) is a real time market data distribution platform that allows for the controlled dissemination of market data to clients on a subscription basis. PDS is an industry proven architecture that is in use today at a major stock exchange and currently handles thousands of updates per second across hundreds of clients.

PDS is designed to read raw market data distributed on a market data bus and distributes market data updates to clients that have subscribed to particular symbols. The PDS architecture is fully load balanced and supports a configurable throttling mechanism to prevent overflowing slower devices or networks. The system provides updates of Trades, Quotes and Last Sale information to all subscribing clients on the system. In addition, PDS can process additional information such as symbol halts and send notification messages to clients.
