Micro Design Services, LLC Implements New Fast Order Entry (FOE) for AMEX.
The American Stock Exchange, LLC (AMEX) has deployed the new Fast Order Entry (FOE) for the BARS Booth for Option and Complex Orders. FOE was designed and developed by Micro Design Services, LLC ( http://www.microdesignservices.com). FOE is a new GUI and processing approach that provides for faster and more efficient entry of option orders at the BARS Booth terminals. In addition, FOE has improved the layout of data for faster and more efficient entry for Complex Order Entry with up to 8 legs.
The emphasis for FOE is placed on Integrated Market Data, enabling the client to more quickly generate bid/ask quotes. The client now has the ability to view the current market data for options series order pricing and can quickly hit the quote for automatic order generation. The Market Data display is dynamic and updates in real-time. FOE successfully went live on August 4, 2008.
