(MDS) WAS AWARDED A CONTRACT BY THE NEW YORK MERCANTILE
EXCHANGE, INC. (NYMEX) TO DEVELOP A NEW, STATE-OF-THE-ART,
HAND HELD WIRELESS COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR THE REPORTING OF
TRADE PRICES AS THEY OCCUR ON THE FLOOR OF THE EXCHANGE.
Micro Design Services, LLC (MDS) was
awarded a contract by the New York Mercantile Exchange,
Inc. (NYMEX) to develop a new, state-of-the-art, hand-held
wireless computer system for the reporting of trade prices
as they occur on the floor of the exchange. This system
will replace the current wireless hand-held system installed
by MDS in 1994. The new System provides complete price
reporting functionality using up to 250 touch screen Windows
CE based hand-held terminals which accept input of last
sale prices and bid/ask quotes and sends the data to the
public through the Exchange's and ticker vendors' systems.
All activity in the system is fully audit-trailed with
the date-time of action.
