MDS AWARDED CONTRACT TO DESIGN
AND DEVELOP A RETAIL FLOOR BROKER HAND-HELD COMPUTER ORDER
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE, LLC
(AMEX)
MDS was awarded a major contract to
develop a wireless retail floor broker order management
system for securities, bonds and options including a broker
trade reporting system for executions against those orders.
System functions include wireless reception of orders
at Hand Held Computers from AMEX’s central order
file system, managing order books and reporting trades
to the exchange and the member firms’ back offices.
The full production system will have up to 300 hand-held
computers operating on AMEX’s New York trading floor.
